Inspiring the Next Generation at the IEEE Region 10 Robotic Competition 2023

On December 11, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok proudly hosted the IEEE Region 10 Robotic Competition 2023, under the leadership of Dr. Supavadee Aramvith as Event Chair. This exciting event brought together students, educators, and robotics enthusiasts to celebrate innovation, teamwork, and STEM education.

The competition featured two main activities: a Pre-University Robotic Workshop and a University Student Robotic Challenge. While both segments showcased incredible talent, the heart of the event was the pre-university workshop—reflecting Dr. Supavadee’s deep commitment to nurturing young minds, particularly encouraging girls in STEM.

More than 50 students and 20 teachers from over 10 high schools in Bangkok participated in the hands-on robotic workshop. The energy, curiosity, and creativity of the students made the day truly unforgettable. This experience not only sparked their interest in engineering but also planted seeds for a future generation of innovators.

The event marked a meaningful step forward in building a strong STEM pipeline across Region 10 and beyond.
