For me, Supavadee Aramvith, as a candidate for IEEE Region 11 Director-elect, the concept of "VOICE" is central to my vision for the region's future. I believe that every member's voice deserves to be heard, valued, and represented as Region 11 takes shape. My platform is built upon several key pillars that highlight the importance of "VOICE" in various aspects of the region's development.

Voice for Representation

Firstly, "Voice for Representation" emphasizes strengthening Region 11's presence in global IEEE decisions. This means ensuring that the perspectives and needs of Region 11 members are actively communicated and considered at the highest levels of the IEEE organization. By amplifying the region's voice, I aim to secure a more influential role for Region 11 in shaping the policies, initiatives, and overall direction of IEEE. This commitment stems from my extensive experience in global IEEE leadership, where I have gained an understanding of the value of collaboration and transparency.

Opportunities for Growth

Secondly, "Opportunities for Growth" underscores the importance of listening to and supporting members at all stages of their careers, with a particular focus on students and underrepresented groups. This aspect of "VOICE" is about understanding the diverse needs of the membership and providing tailored opportunities for professional development, networking, and engagement. By giving a voice to these groups, Region 11 can foster a more inclusive and supportive environment, ensuring that all members have the chance to thrive within the IEEE community. My background, including my experience as Region 10 Educational Activities Coordinator and Region 10 Women in Engineering Coordinator, reflects my commitment to nurturing growth across different member demographics.

Innovation and Impact

Thirdly, "Innovation and Impact" highlights the role of "VOICE" in promoting excellence through meaningful regional collaboration. This suggests that by encouraging diverse voices and perspectives, Region 11 can foster a more dynamic and innovative environment. When members are empowered to share their ideas and collaborate, it leads to the generation of new solutions and impactful projects that benefit the entire region. My experience with over 150 papers in International Journals and Conference Proceedings, along with my project management expertise with the Thailand government, suggests a deep understanding of fostering innovation.

Connecting Communities

Fourthly, "Connecting Communities" emphasizes building stronger ties across sections and affinity groups. This element of "VOICE" is about facilitating communication and interaction among various sub-communities within Region 11. By enabling these groups to voice their needs and connect with each other, the region can build a more cohesive and supportive network. This also allows for the sharing of best practices and resources, ultimately strengthening the entire regional fabric. My leadership positions in various IEEE committees, including the IEEE MGA Chapter Operations Support Committee and Region 10 Section & Chapter Committee, demonstrate my dedication to fostering community connections.

Empowering Members

Finally, "Empowering Members" is about creating inclusive platforms where diverse perspectives are heard and drive all-important actions to progress. This is perhaps the most encompassing aspect of "VOICE," as it speaks to the fundamental principle of member-driven progress. By actively soliciting and valuing diverse viewpoints, Region 11 can ensure that its actions and initiatives truly reflect the collective will and needs of its members. My 30-year journey with IEEE, during which I have spearheaded impactful member engagement and global and regional initiatives, underscores my commitment to empowering members and ensuring their voices lead to tangible outcomes. My numerous awards, including the 2023 IEEE WIE Inspiring Member of the Year Award and the 2019 MGA Leadership Award, further validate my dedication to effective leadership that amplifies member impact.
