IEEE Region 11 Director-Elect Candidate forum

It was an honor to participate in the IEEE Region 11 Director-Elect Candidate forum this past Saturday, Aug 16. This is a historic moment—a new beginning for all of us. To build our foundation and forge our identity from day one, Region 11 requires seasoned leadership with an actionable plan.

For 30 years, IEEE has been my professional home. I have 20 years of leadership experience on IEEE global boards and committees, and half of that in the IEEE Region 10 (Asia-Pacific Region) EXCOM. Now, I am ready to serve as The V.O.I.C.E. of Region 11, turning our vision into immediate action:

 Voice for Representation: Ensuring you are heard in global decisions.

 Opportunities for Growth: Launching mentorship for our next generation.

 Innovation and Impact: Connecting academia and industry to solve real-world problems.

 Connecting Communities: Uniting our sections to build a stronger whole.

 Empowering Members: Providing the resources and support for you to lead.

My commitment is to a leadership that listens, acts, and empowers. I am confident I have the experience required to be your first director and to ensure Region 11 thrives within our 'One IEEE' family.
